About the Mold &Bladder Engineer I position
We are looking for a reliable Production Engineer to coordinate all activities in the Mold&Bladder section of the Production Management Team while focusing on continuous improvement and eliminating waste.
You should be a good problem solver with creative approach to your tasks, deeply concerned about quality and efficiency and well-versed in the latest technology trends and best practices.
Mold&Bladder Engineer I responsibilities are:
- Review implement work rules for mold and bladder equipment, presses, conducting repairs, communicating necessary tools, material, and equipment to purchasing, and generally supervising the technicians who operate the presses
- Learn to make decisions concerning how and what materials are necessary to fix and maintain Mold&Bladder equipment
- Monitor and control mold inventory. Communicate incoming/outgoing molds
- Monitor mold repair and modification orders within G.MOIM system
- Manage documentation to include mold blueprints, storage inventory list, ISO/TS16949 and other quality system requirements, etc.
- Coordinate and track mold repair. Negotiate pricing and deadlines with mold repair vendors
- Investigate and document damaged production molds; research mold repair price quotes; organize, analyze, and report price quotes to management
- Monitor and manage bladder inventory. Communicate bladder inventory for effective ordering
- Track bladder cycles. Create and execute plans to optimize bladder life
- Lead the development of training materials for Mold&Bladder
- Assist in maintaining 5s in Mold&Bladder storage areas
- Perform administrative work related to daily production
- Coordinate purchase orders and invoice approvals with other functional departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Production Engineer I requirements are:
Education:
- (Required) Bachelor's degree, field of science or learning major
- (Preferred) Computer Sciences/Industrial Engineering major or advanced degree in a related field
Experience:
- (Required) 0+ years of proven engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
- (Preferred) Relevant experience preferred to include internships or Co-ops
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
- Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
