    Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plastics Production Specialist to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in leadership, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence in our production processes. If you are passionate about optimizing production schedules and enhancing team performance, we want to hear from you!

    This position is a M-F position on third shift. The hours would be 11pm-7am. Shift differential is also involved and will be discussed with qualified candidates. Having a plastics heavy background would be ideal but is not required.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
    • Conduct high-level operations analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
    • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to align production goals with financial objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and operational performance.
    • Train and mentor team members to promote skill development and career growth.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in leadership and people management within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
    • Experience in production scheduling and operations analysis.
    • Demonstrated ability in budgeting and forecasting related to production activities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

    Salary info:

    $30 - $32 / hr
