Job Summary: This position is responsible for following company policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure the production, storage and distribution of safe, quality food. Responsible for informing management of any observation or finding that could impact the safety and quality of company products.
Reports to the Plant Operations Manager. Responsibilities- Takes instructions from supervisors. Set up/Start up and stop of equipment. Load and unload items from machines, pallets and totes. Ensure conformance to specifications. Turn valves to regulate flow of liquids. Pull damaged or ineffective equipment off the line and notify supervisor for repair. Performs daily and weekly tasks assigned by the manager, supervisor or lead and follows the efficiencies plans for the department. Maintains working areas and tools neat and organized. Ensures compliance of GMP’s, QC and Safety Policy and Procedures Handles and disposes waste according to our safety, food safety and operational standards. Flexible to vary work shifts dependent upon production and staffing needs. Food Safety - Follows strict sanitation specifications and procedures in a safe manner. Complies with sanitation and cleanliness requirements of the total facility. Maintains organized, clean, and clear working areas by cleaning the floor, walls, and washing machine. Maintains working area in sanitary conditions at the end of shift.
