    Job title: Production Supervisor

    Department: Mayzo Operations Center

    Reports to: Production Manager

    Type: Full Time Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

    Location: Mayzo Operations Center in Walterboro, SC

    Compensation: $35 per hour

    **1st shift from October to December 2024 (8am to 5pm) Mon to Fri **Then 2nd shift from January to June 2025 (4pm to 2:30am) Mon to Thurs **Then back to first shift permanently

    Overview:

    The Production Supervisor will oversee the production equipment, personnel & processes at the Mayzo Operations Center. Be accountable to measurable outputs such as safety, speed & accuracy targets.

    Duties and Responsibilities: Operational Performance

    Schedule production and complete work so that 100% of batch tickets are closed on time.

    Maintain an inventory of consumables required for production activities.

    Develop a preventative maintenance plan for all production equipment and processes. Have backup plans in place in the event of unplanned outages.

    Possess a deep understanding of the equipment and be able to perform basic repairs to ensure consistent operation.

    Develop a full capacity analysis plan for all production activities and schedule jobs / personnel / resources accordingly Report and monitor KPIs adjusting as necessary to achieve goals

    Quality Performance

    Achieve the targeted yield during production campaigns as defined in the batch formula instructions, including raw materials and consumables.

    Do not perform work unless the required procedures, batch tickets and work instructions are complete

    Safety

    Drive your team towards a complete commitment to safety.

    Zero safety incidents on internal production activities. Routinely perform internal & external safety audits of all production equipment & processes, including identifying hazards and PPE required

    Ensure all required PPE is available and being used properly by employee

    Management

    Manage a team of production focused, temporary / full time employees.

    Maintain a full staff, and continuously perform contingency planning / backup / training as required to ensure staff turnover has no impact on performance.

    Hold all staff accountable to comply with all documented processes and procedures. Ensure all proper training takes place and is documented per ISO requirements.

    Ensure Visual Management resources are in place to report the status of every production activity “at a glance”. Fully responsible for the Profit and Loss of the production department of the Mayzo Operations Center. Financial justification for all activities is required and shall be in accordance with the published Mayzo Production Capacity Plan

    Qualifications:

    Minimum ten years of experience in a batch production environment.

    Minimum five years of managerial experience in a manufacturing / production environment

    Specific background at a company which considers process definition, measurement & control a foundational operating principle. Specific experience building / implementing / using / etc… systems & processes every day to drive an operation. (3M / GE / Honeywell / Amazon / UPS / Walmart / Fedex / Toyota / Grainger / etc…)

    Possess a fundamental belief in the importance of planning, measuring, and reporting to improve. Demonstrated experience using this philosophy to manage & lead people to achieve business objectives.

    Strong mechanical aptitude & ability to quickly diagnose root causes of problems

    Qualified to operate a forklift

    Experience working with ERP systems / inventory management systems

    Must be capable of lifting 60 pounds unassisted
