    Production Supervisor

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our Converting Department. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, and waste management. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and motivate production employees by setting an example in behavior, attitude, and performance, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
    • Supervise daily operations, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work, while ensuring adherence to industry and customer specifications.
    • Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and handle disciplinary actions, safety protocols, and conflict resolution as needed.
    • Ensure safe and efficient operation of converting equipment, including rotary die cutters, flexo folder gluers, and slitters.
    • Comply with OSHA and plant safety regulations, promoting a culture of workplace safety.
    • Develop and maintain cross-training programs to enhance team versatility and operational efficiency.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
    • Monitor and manage plant waste, storage, and inventory related to conversion tools and equipment.
    • Utilize computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), for reports and documentation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Provide coverage for peer supervisors during vacations and absences as needed.

    Food Safety Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all employees adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Maintain compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies, including pest control, visitor protocols, and sanitation requirements.
    • Conduct SQF audits as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of converting manufacturing practices, procedures, and quality standards is essential.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to generate reports.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.

    Education & Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
    • Prior experience in the corrugated industry, particularly in supervising flexo folder gluers and die cutters, is strongly preferred.
