    Laser Engineering & Production Lead
    Dassel, MN | Direct-Hire | $70,000 – $100,000 | 100% Onsite

    An innovative manufacturer located near Dassel, MN is seeking a highly motivated Laser Engineering & Production Lead with expertise in laser technology to optimize and support production operations. This individual will take the lead in developing efficient manufacturing methods, improving workflow, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to meet high standards of quality and performance in a laser-focused production environment.

    Laser Engineering & Production Lead Responsibilities

    • Act as the internal expert on laser manufacturing technologies and opportunities for application in new products and markets.
    • Identify and execute improvements in manufacturing techniques, tooling design, and equipment utilization.
    • Recommend facility and process modifications to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency.
    • Support quoting and project scoping efforts to align with market demand and strategic goals.
    • Develop accurate part quotations by analyzing time, material, and labor requirements.
    • Create and revise detailed work instructions and documentation.
    • Review technical drawings and coordinate Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation.
    • Provide hands-on support and technical insight across departments.
    • Design part fixtures for precision and repeatability in laser processing.
    • Integrate automation solutions for consistent part positioning and handling during production.
    • Contribute to cross-functional projects and provide broad technical support where needed.

    Laser Engineering & Production Lead Qualifications

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
    • Solid understanding of laser processing technologies and their practical applications.
    • Proficient with 3D CAD software for design and analysis.
    • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Macola or equivalent preferred).
    • Strong multitasking abilities with a proactive and hands-on leadership style.
    • Exceptional organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Skilled communicator—able to work effectively with diverse technical and operational teams.
    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and supply chain operations.
