Results-Driven Leader – Metal Stamping
Hours: 1 PM - 9 PM
We are seeking a highly motivated leader with a strong background in metal stamping to supervise shift operations from 1 PM to 9 PM. The selected candidate will oversee the production of all presses in the stamping area, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Operations:- Lead and direct Just-In-Time metal stamping operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality, customer satisfaction, cost, productivity, and environmental standards.
- Apply problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5Y) to resolve production issues effectively.
Communication:- Conduct pre-shift and individual meetings with stamping operators to communicate company policies, procedures, work instructions, rules, and environmental regulations.
Production Oversight:- Review production objectives and collaborate with management to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Assign and schedule tasks to meet daily production, quality, and housekeeping goals.
Safety Compliance:- Lead by example in safety practices, ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Respond immediately to accidents or injuries, initiating investigations and corrective actions.
Team Development:- Supervise, mentor, and develop team leaders to enhance job performance.
- Manage cross-training activities to improve ergonomics and employee skill development.
- Maintain and update training matrices.
Shift Coordination:- Work closely with other shifts to communicate quality, production, safety, and supplier issues effectively.
Employee Engagement:- Recognize accomplishments and milestones in safety, environmental compliance, ergonomics, and employee wellness.
- Develop programs to increase awareness and participation in these areas.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The qualifications listed below are essential for success in this role:
Education and Experience:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on metal stamping.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills Required:- Extensive experience in metal stamping operations.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Core Tools.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards.
