    The Production Technician II is responsible for performing required routine manufacturing processes for the TruCOUNT, FACSCount and other related manufacturing area according to established procedures. They must be able to work on situations where judgment is required in resolving problems on semi-automated equipment. Must also be able to read, understand and complete all documentation including batch records, standard operating procedures, and material requests. They must possess basic computer and math skills and must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly diverse, team-oriented environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Performs all FACSCount, TruCOUNT and other related manufacturing process steps including but not limited to machine's operation and set-up, automatic filling/tabbing, packaging (labeling, bagging, pouching, and kitting, visual inspection, and SAP Data entry.) among other processes.

    • Operates and performs preventive maintenance, including cleaning, equipment inspection and lubrication, on production equipment (semi-automated and automated equipment) as required in the TruCOUNT, FACSCount and other related manufacturing areas.

    • Meet daily/weekly/monthly departmental production objectives efficiently and effectively with a high degree of quality.

    • Performs basic troubleshooting to FACSCount TruCOUNT and related manufacturing area equipment as required.

    • Inform supervisor of any improper usage of equipment.

    • Maintains logs and required documentation as needed.

    • Provides training and guides new hires.

    • Actively participates of Continuous Improvement activities that improves product/process quality and product availability, reduce cost, and increase production capability such as:

      • Provides feedback for document improvement and changes of their area.

      • Provides ideas to improve area’s efficiencies to reduce downtime.

      • Maintains area’s 5S

    • Actively participate in the Daily Management System by attending, leading shift start up meeting and providing, posting and tracking appropriate metrics. Proposes actions for underperforming indicators.

    • Must have ability to independently organize individual schedules to meet departmental goals.

    • Ability to follow general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks.

    • Follow all department guidelines and procedures to align with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP), safety Regulation, ISO requirements and Company Policies.

    • Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.

    • Promotes a safe work environment. Provides recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. Participates in Environmental Health and Safety programs. Addresses corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified. Notifies's supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.

    • Performs other related duties and assignments as required such as:

      • Support the dispatch of components to the production areas.

      • Support Packaging process of FL, GK, bagging, kits and bundles.

      • Support the collect, clean/sanitize and distribution of laboratory glassware and plastic ware where required.

    Requirements

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a repetitive manufacturing or mechanical environment required

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.

    • Self-motivated, must have ability to work with minimal supervision.

    • Skilled in PLC machinery or machine set-up is preferable.

    • Good written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to read, write and understand Spanish and English.

    • Proficient learner with new tasks and methods.

    • Basic knowledge in computer applications, email and office software.

    • Applies knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks within own area.

    • Ability and knowledge to perform math calculations and measurement conversions.

    • Knowledge of GMP, QSR or ISO requirements desirable.

    • Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the job position.

    • Willing to travel to US mainland and offshore.

    Physical Demands:

    Frequently, the work requires carrying and lifting of heavy weight level objects. In addition, frequently requires handling, talking, hearing and seeing (near and far vision). Occasionally, the work requires pushing and pulling of heavy weight level objects as well as balancing, stooping, kneeling and reaching. Constantly, the work requires standing, walking, fingering and seeing (depth perception/visual color discrimination), as well as lifting high levels objects.

    Work Environment:

    The work is constantly performed inside the building. The work requires exposure to extreme cold temperatures. Also, the work environment has noise, vibration, hazard exposures (mechanical-equipment and electrical) and atmospheric conditions such as dust.
