Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Feed Production and Operations Leader to join our team at our location in Fremont, NE. In this role, you will manage the Production and Operations functions of the company. In addition, you lead the team responsible for production scheduling, feed mixing operations (including the pellet mill), and packaging. You will work with the management team to coordinate the operational systems and processes of the company, maximizing efficiency and profitability while assuring that the company remains compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has an analytical mind, a deep understanding of feed manufacturing, business and financial principles, and a proven track record.

Responsibilities

Oversee all Production and Operations functions for the company and assure team compliance

Develop processes to manage production schedules and sequencing for maximum efficiency.

Contribute to warehouse operations and inventory control

Manage feed formulation

Ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements

Set and monitor key performance indicators

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field

Previous experience within a feed manufacturing environment, Feed Production experience preferred.

Deep understanding of quality compliance with independent and governmental requirements (FSMA, HACCP, SFSF, etc.)

Ability to analyze production data and create operational efficiencies

Excellent verbal and written communication

Knowledge of sound business practices and feed fundamentals
