Professional Armed Security Guard - Location Brickell Ave.
Job Description: Full Time Armed Security Guard – Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm
Position Overview: As an Armed Security Guard in the state of Florida, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property within designated premises. This role requires vigilant monitoring, enforcement of security policies and procedures, and the ability to respond swiftly to any security threats or emergencies that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter unauthorized activity. Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
Security Monitoring: Use surveillance systems and equipment to monitor premises for suspicious behavior or security breaches. Act promptly to investigate alarms or disturbances.
Access Control: Manage access control points, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for individuals as per established protocols. Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or criminal activity. Take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of all persons on site.
Report Writing: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, observations, and activities. Prepare detailed reports documenting any security-related incidents or irregularities.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees. Address inquiries, concerns, or requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Weapon Handling and Safety: Safely and responsibly carry and utilize firearms in accordance with state regulations and company policies. Maintain proficiency through regular training and certification.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders as needed.
Qualifications:
Florida Class G License: Must possess a valid Class G license issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Firearms Proficiency and License: Demonstrated proficiency in the handling and use of firearms, including completion of required training courses.
3 – 5 years Security Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must be capable of responding quickly to emergencies and physically demanding situations.
Additional Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean criminal background check and drug screening.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
