We are a reputable dog training business specializing in personalized, in-home private sessions, on-site private lessons, board & train programs and a Doggy daycare. Our team comprises a dedicated staff committed to providing effective training solutions while prioritizing the well-being and happiness of our clients' beloved pets.
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training services to our clients' dogs, ensuring their behavioral needs are met, and fostering positive relationships between pets and their owners.
This is a demanding, challenging and rewarding profession. We are looking for someone that is driven, values establishing professional relationships and aims for a high level of success.
Compensation Details:
· $400 per week - per dog for Board & Train
· You will generally have 1-3 dogs per week at a time for Board & Train
· $20 - $40 per hour for Private Lessons
Responsibilities:
Conduct In-Home & On-Site private training sessions tailored to each dog's individual needs and behavior.
Implement effective training techniques to address behavior issues such as aggression, anxiety, and disobedience.
Develop personalized training plans based on assessments of each dog's temperament, personality, and learning style.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, offering guidance, support, and ongoing education on canine behavior and training methods.
Maintain detailed records of client sessions, progress, and follow-up recommendations.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Ability to board 1 or more dogs at your residence for up to 2 weeks

Requirements:
Proven experience as a dog trainer with a strong understanding of canine behavior and training principles.
Certification from a recognized dog training program or association preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their pets.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for dogs, coupled with a commitment to positive reinforcement-based training methods.
Reliable transportation and flexibility to accommodate varying client schedules, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Dedication to upholding our company's standards of professionalism, integrity, and client satisfaction.
Day to day requirements:
Handling and training small and large breeds from puppies to adults
Working with dogs needing basic obedience training and/or behavior modification related to anxiety, aggression, resource guarding, etc
Maintaining professional client relationships..
Ensuring punctuality and reliability
Continuing education and increasing skills in training, both dogs and humans
