    About the Opportunity:

    Our Charlotte office is growing – both from increased workload and recent team transitions. To meet client demand and continue delivering high-quality service, we’re looking to bring on an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with a strong background in construction-focused land surveying. This is a strategic hire with high visibility and the potential for leadership as the office continues to expand.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead and manage construction staking, as-builts, plats, and related surveying services
    • Collaborate closely with developers, engineers, and builders in the private sector (primarily land development and track builder clients)
    • Serve as a technical lead and mentor for early-career staff working toward licensure
    • Support business development efforts and client relationship management
    • Provide quality assurance and ensure compliance with state and local regulations
    • Work closely with the Survey Director and local leadership to help shape the future of the Charlotte office

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in North Carolina (required)
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on construction staking and private-sector land development
    • Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain strong client relationships
    • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and field-to-finish workflows
    • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is a plus
    • A network of local industry contacts or ability to bring clients/book of business is highly valued

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Competitive salary starting around $120,000+ depending on experience
    • Strong consideration for compensation above that range (up to $135K–$140K+) for candidates who bring additional value through client relationships, leadership ability, or significant construction expertise
