OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Director of Federal Grants, the NC Child Care Program Associate is responsible for implementing, evaluating, and ensuring compliance for NC Child Care Licensed Clubs for school-aged children. The NC Child Care Program Associate will also be responsible for expanding the NC Child Care Program across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure a safe environment for the children in our care.
Manage school-aged child care program in accordance within financial and budgetary guidelines.
Operate the program according to the state licensing standards.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to hire, train, and supervise child care staff for After School and Summer Day Camp programs.
Assist child care staff with the weekly development and execution of curriculum and program activities.
Serve as the signatory for program purchases to ensure it aligns with child care licensing compliance.
Execute marketing plan necessary to maintain desired enrollment.
Create and implement a strategic plan for expanding the NC Child Care Licensing Program throughout the organization.
Plan and implement Summer Day Camp program for NC Child Care club sites.
Serve as the liaison between the organization and the school system for NC Child Care club sites.
Oversee the onboarding process for non-licensed facilities into licensed facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Serve as the primary liaison for childcare subsidy programs and state licensing.
Ensure families have access to and understand their childcare subsidy options.
Maintain accurate records and compliance with subsidy program requirements to complete the appropriate reimbursements
Work with Finance to reconcile records and track funding streams and end-of-the-year revenue projections
Serve as a liaison to Communications and Marketing (as needed) and Advisory Councils (as needed).
Provide staff training as needed & provide limited on-site program monitoring, training, and technical assistance for licensing and federal compliance.
Directly responsible for completing monitoring visits, providing technical assistance to members, and completing Correction Action Documents as needed.
In conjunction with Director of Federal Grants, prepare and submit required reports, conduct second review for monthly provider claims, enter claim data in each state agency database for reimbursement, review all required attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Holds or is pursuing BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related education/teaching field preferred.
Detail oriented
Computer proficient including Word, Excel, and the ability to learn other programs quickly
First Aid and CPR certification, or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire
Strong leadership skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer at least one year of management experience.
Experience with implementing and maintaining compliance with NC Child Care standards.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion. May be required to sit/stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the telephone, computer, and other equipment.
Must possess auditory, verbal, and visual capabilities to adequately communicate via telephone, electronically, and in person.
