    Position: Full-Time Program Coordinator/Advocate

    Agape Oasis (Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center) is seeking a full-time program coordinator/advocate to help further the mission of its programs. An individual that can exemplify exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; compassion, understanding, and the ability to grow the women and children’s domestic violence programs while supporting the needs of program participants of diverse backgrounds impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, or crimes resulting in trauma.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Provide advocacy through group counseling, 1:1 individual counseling sessions, court advocacy (assistance with filing Orders for Protection, fulfilling requirement needs for child protection services and probation cases, etc.), direct client services, and resource linkage

    Articulate and demonstrate the components of healthy relationships while managing case files, conducting intake interviews, and working with families experiencing trauma

    Support the goals and outcomes of the MARPE’ (Inner Healing), Oasis KidsPlace, and KERV (Kids Ending Relationship Violence) programs as it relates to enrollment and recruitment of group participants, program development, execution, reporting and evaluations

    Identify, research, and prepare RFPs, grants, and fundraising opportunities to directly support MARPE’, Oasis KidsPlace, and Kids Ending Relationship Violence programs

    Identify, plan, and attend meaningful outreach programming

    Full adherence to the MN State Statute 518B.2 Domestic Abuse Counseling and Educational Program requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    2 years of advocacy or counseling experience - understanding the dynamics of trauma/crisis related needs of people most important

    2 years of program coordination experience

    Experience working in office settings - communication [written and verbal], documentation and filing of reports, professional posture [attire, presentation], confidentiality

    Organized and goal driven

    Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Google docs, social media platforms, and other standard communication sources

    Background check required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience facilitating support groups

    License and certification in social work, advocacy, therapeutic services, and/or life coaching

    Interview Process:

    Candidates will go through two-rounds of interviews. The first interview will be convened with the Executive Director of Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center. If all criterias are met, a second interview will follow with the Agape Oasis’ leadership and others identified as appropriate.

    Selection Process:

    Candidates chosen to fill this position will be vetted through each process outlined above, the best candidate will be chosen.

    The Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and criminal background checks prior to appointment.

    Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center reserves the right to institute a 90 day probationary period for all new hires, this includes but is not limited to, attendance, performance, integrity and confidentiality of our programs and needs of our participants.
