Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Delegate Agencies for Technical Assistance, the Program Coordinator provides technical assistance to delegate agencies on a variety of programmatic matters including but not limited to: customer flow review; implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), and other grant regulations; general compliance with local, state, and federal policies; and proactive measures for avoiding audit findings and ensuring quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Assigned to thirteen to seventeen delegate agencies.
- Assess delegate agency need for intervention and trouble shoot problems.
- Provide guidance and assist delegate agency program staff in the implementation of WIOA regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide instruction on Career Connect, Illinois Worknet, Illinois Performance Accountability and Transparency System and any other reporting tools via webinars and in-person workshops.
- Respond to questions and request for assistance from the Career Connect help desk.
- Conduct on site reviews for quality and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with internal coordination and management of the delegate agencies by working closely with the Program Relationship Managers.
- Highlight program achievements, best practices, challenges and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist delegate agencies in responding to deficiencies.
- Create and/or modify local policies and/or procedures as it relates to program guidelines.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Ability to travel independently throughout Chicago, suburban Cook County and the state
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, community development or related fields; OR three (3) years’ experience in workforce development or an equivalent 3-year combination of professional work experience, training, and education.
- Two (2) years of full-time paid professional work experience with programs funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity using a keyboard.
- Frequently required to talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel to various delegate agency locations throughout Cook County
