    Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Program Coordinator to join our Emergency Medical Services Program. This is responsible, professional work in coordinating and implementing instruction and instructional support for the EMS program within the School of Health Professions. Work may be scheduled and performed at all FSW campuses. This position operates within a dual reporting structure: administratively reporting to the Director of Emergency Services for matters including leave requests, scheduling, office hours, and general administrative functions; while functionally reporting to the Program Manager for all education-related responsibilities including curriculum development, classroom guidance, instructional planning, and other academic matters.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
    • Current Florida Paramedic licensure in good standing.
    • Four (4) years of field-level provider experience in the prehospital environment with an Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider.
    • Must have at least two (2) years of teaching experience in EMS education.
    • Ability to independently travel to all FSW campuses in Lee, Charlotte, and Collier counties and other locations for College business.
    • A demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
    • Demonstrated experience using instructional technology, computers, and software applications.

    Starting Salary: 66,835.25

    Qualifications:

    A master's degree in mathematics, or related field is required, PhD and 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science courses preferred. Post-docs are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be someone with teaching experience who can demonstrate the ability to scaffold technical and mathematical concepts. The candidate must also have enough breadth to cover a range of computer science and either algebraic or analysis courses. Shenandoah faculty are evaluated on teaching, research and service. Service will include advising and committee work. This is a 9 month appointment with the option of summer teaching depending on demand. Depending on application credentials and interests, both visiting and career contract appointments at rank are possible.
