    Job Title: Program Coordinator

    Position Summary:

    The Program Coordinator is responsible for organizing, leading, and overseeing daily operations of specific YMCA programs. This includes managing program schedules, facilitating participant engagement, ensuring a safe environment, supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of services provided to the community. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Director to meet program goals and promote the YMCA’s mission.

    Essential Functions: · Direct, supervise, and evaluate coaches/staff of the program · Organize coach/staff training(s) and support coaches in implementing the program · Coordinate schedules, resources, and facilities for programs · Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible participants into the program · Engage marketing staff to ensure adequate publicity and marketing of the program · Provide class coverage if needed to prevent a cancelled class · Instruct programs · Provide leadership to, and participate in community events, YMCA campaigns, and development activities · Respond to inquiries from the public and YMCA members about the program · Assist in managing program budgets, ensuring financial targets are met · Engage in outreach efforts to attract new participants

    Qualifications: · Ability to effectively interact with coaches/staff and participants on a range of issues · Ability to supervise, provide development opportunities, and evaluate staff · Ability to provide administrative support and possess exceptional organizational skills · Experience working with children · Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills · Basic knowledge of sports and coaching skills · Night and weekend availability · Flexible Schedule · CPR/First Aid Certified

    Physical Demands: · Physical ability to participate in various activities and assist with set-up/take-down of equipment · Ability to react to emergency situations by quick action
