Job Summary
We are seeking a Program Director to join our team! We are a small nonprofit organization providing information and assistance for families with diverse ethnic, language, learning, and economic needs who have children of all ages and with all types of special healthcare needs and disabilities in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, and McDowell Counties. The ideal candidate for this position has previous management experience, has personal and/or professional experience with individuals with disabilities (parents and family members are encouraged to apply), understands and practices respect and sensitivity with culturally diverse populations, has excellent communication skills, and has the ability to multitask and switch priorities, as needed. Bi-lingual in Hmong/English or Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
Work closely with program staff, collaborators, agencies, and consumers
Manage nonprofit and state/federal funding and operational requirements
Implement programs, budgets, and activities effectively
Participate in program, community, state, and national meetings and conferences
Ensure all programs and activities are in line with our mission, goals, and values
Supervise staff and coordinate program operations
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, bookkeeping, and project management
The ability to work well independently and within a team
