Position Summary:
As the Mental Health/ substance use Program Director, you will lead our mental health programs, ensuring alignment with our mission and standards of excellence. This role demands proactive communication, managerial acumen, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Communicate and liaise with the clinical director about client, behavioral, and staffing matters.
Provide leadership and management to staff, ensuring high-quality services.
Oversee daily staff activities and client schedules.
Monitor current census and supervise client engagements.
Observe and, when necessary, co-facilitate groups, individual counseling, and crisis interventions.
Ensure optimal staff utilization in accordance with agency expectations, service requirements, and client needs.
Guide clients in adhering to program rules and foster open communication.
Cordinate care for IOP/PHP program Ambulatory
Address clinical challenges or facility disruptions beyond the scope of primary counselors.
Stay updated on company policies, ensuring compliance with licensing (DHCS & Joint Commission) standards.
Oversee systems of accountability with due diligence.
Maintain strict confidentiality in line with HIPAA.
Make necessary adjustments in clinical documentation and seek supervision for modifications in treatment approaches.
Participate in weekly treatment and administrative meetings.
Conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure safety, operations, and cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned by administrators or directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Applicants must be registered as a licensed therapist(CADC,CADCA, LPC,AMFT,APCC).
Previous program director experience role in a mental health setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of licensing standards (DHCS & Joint Commission) and the ability to implement compliance plans.
Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and ability to make necessary adjustments.
Experience attending and contributing to treatment team and administrative meetings.
Ability to be on call for emergencies and provide support to evening staff.
Operational knowledge of facility management, including safety protocols and ensuring cleanliness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of leadership and organizational skills.
