Summary
As the “face” of Soccer Shots, our success as a nationally recognized and locally respected brand is dependent on the exemplary performance of our growth, customer service, and coaches. It is a program directors responsibility to ensure all growth, operations, and coaches of the business are functioning at our highest capability. The Program Director includes, but not limited to, the following tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties as assigned.
Development:
· Hit weekly/monthly/quarterly sales goals
· Find new locations
o Childcare centers
o Preschools
o Elementary Schools
o Parks
o Soccer Clubs
o Partnerships
· Strategic growth strategies
o Organize local events to promote brand awareness
o Find and meet local business owners
· Marketing
o Create and execute local marketing strategies
§ Fliers
§ Social Media
§ Promoting through/with local businesses
§ Create and send weekly email promotions to ALL families
§ Send monthly season updates to childcare centers/preschools/elementary schools
Operations
· Configio
o Learn and become familiar with all things configio
§ Adding/managing seasons
§ Messaging parents/schools
§ Adding locations into CRM
§ Running reports
· Google Docs
o Manage, create, and maintain
§ Master lists of all locations happening each season
§ Assist DOC managing coaches schedules and google calendar
· Season Setup
o Confirm future seasons at current locations
· Customer Service
o Answering/responding to all phone calls and emails
o Respond to customer emails and calls within 24 hours
o Engage with parents/school staff while coaching and/or evaling other coaches.
Coaching (Hiring/Training) – SUPPORT Director of Coaching
· Hiring
o Job postings (careerplug, facebook, etc)
o Phone interviews and in person interviews
o Scheduling candidates with “lead” coaches
o Field 1 interview
o Field 2 Interview
o Onboarding of coach if job is offered
· Training
o Oversee all aspects of the training process
§ Scheduling new coaches with a veteran coach
§ Communicating with schools
§ Communicating with coaches regarding expectations
· Evaluating
o Evaluate each coach a minimum of two times per season
§ Ability to clearly communicate growth goals and where to improve
o Keep track/develop a system for all evals
o Season reviews
· Coaching Culture
o Program Director will work with Director of Coaching to ensure culture is fun and healthy
§ Check in with coaches via phone, email, text, groupme
§ Work with program coordinator to plan coaches trainings
· Spring and Fall
o Ability to not only encourage but also have hard conversations with coaches
§ You may need to reach out to a parent regarding child, but the director will work with you on this.
o Schedule Coaches each season
§ You will need to make sure each coach gets the appropriate amount of sessions needed.
§ This will require a basic knowledge of configo, google calendar, and launchpad
· Coaching
o Program Director will 5-15 sessions per week MAX.
