JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to join our team full-time in Winter Garden, FL. In this vital role, you’ll work alongside the Executive Director to manage programs, conduct community outreach, and handle key administrative tasks. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit or business management and proven leadership abilities. This role includes oversight of daily operations, event coordination, and distribution logistics. Candidates must be Orlando-area residents, knowledgeable about Central Florida's community resources and agencies, especially within Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, and Polk counties. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) skills are highly preferred. Flexibility for night and weekend work, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Development: Collaborate with leadership to shape and execute program growth strategies.
Compliance & Best Practices: Oversee program adherence to policies and ensure best practices are maintained.
Event Management: Plan and oversee mobile distributions, fundraising events, and sponsorship outreach.
Operations Management: Supervise daily operations, schedule staff and volunteers, and ensure program efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit grant reports, annual reports, and other required documentation.
Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders.
Distribution Coordination: Organize donation pickups, deliveries, and distributions throughout Central Florida.
Fundraising Support: Assist with planning and executing fundraising initiatives and events.
Grant Writing: Conduct grant research, draft compelling proposals, and manage the submission process.
Volunteer Coordination: Plan volunteer events and focus on volunteer engagement and retention.
Performance Tracking: Measure program impact and ensure accurate reporting for key metrics.
Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Experience: 1-3 years in nonprofit leadership or business management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or related field.
Driver’s License: Must be 25+ years old, with a valid Florida driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to drive the company vehicle for events.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets).
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on professionalism.
Professionalism: Calm, mature demeanor with excellent customer service skills and deadline management.
Social Media: Experience managing social media for program visibility and community awareness.
Diversity Experience: Ability to work with diverse populations and deliver exceptional customer service.
Organizational Skills: Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Fundraising & Grants: Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, with an ability to meet submission deadlines.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
Background Screening: Must pass a Level II background screening.
Driver’s License: Valid Florida Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable daily transportation.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Computer Use: Ability to sit and operate a computer for extended periods.
Lifting: Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Office Setting: Primarily in-office work environment.
Outdoor Events: Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions for community events.
Travel: Ability to travel within Orlando and surrounding Central Florida areas as needed.
