    Job Description

    Timmons Group is currently seeking a Program Manager/Development Manager for our program management and development management practice in our Richmond, VA office location.

    The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who possesses a strong background in land development and/or building construction project management and the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive desired outcomes. On behalf of our clients, they will manage all aspects of large-scale land development, infrastructure and economic development projects ensuring smooth and timely project delivery.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

    • Schedule and lead meetings
    • Facilitate communications between stakeholders
    • Log and track outstanding issues and drive resolution
    • Write proformas and conduct feasibility studies
    • Aid in site selection
    • Perform project programming and scheduling
    • Facilitate conceptual design meetings and pricing
    • Facilitate design development reviews
    • Prepare and administer RFPs
    • Provide procurement support
    • Assist with land development and building permitting
    • Provide contracting support and construction administration
    • Assist with development/construction team augmentation
    • Provide quality assurance and project reporting
    • Provide punch out administration
    • Complete project closeout
    • Drive resolution of outstanding issues

    Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

    • A bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction is preferred
    • Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience in civil engineering and/or building construction related to development projects
    • Ability to read and understand contracts, plan sets and specifications
    • Must have a thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time
    • Has experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of others
    • Has a working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position
    • Consistently present a professional attitude towards clients and internal staff
    • Effectively communicates with others in the daily completion of tasks or assignments
    • Strives to achieve professional working relationships with others and shows a willingness to help others meet critical deadlines
