THE ORGANIZATION
HACE is a national non‐profit organization dedicated to the advancement of Latino professionals. Since 1982, HACE has served as a resource for Latinos in the workplace and a source of expertise and insight for employers in attracting, retaining, and developing Latino talent. HACE PROGRAM SUMMARY
HACE’s El Futuro is a college and career development program for high school students. It is aimed toward helping students achieve better college entrance and completion rates by improving their prospects for fulfilling careers. The program also focuses on other post-secondary options such as trade schools.
HACE’s University Leadership Program offers student access to our large network of employer partners and professional members by providing insight, access, and professional development opportunities. This program focuses on career readiness.
HACE’s Student Scholarships recognizes college/university (undergraduate and graduate) students’ leadership skills and community engagement by providing financial support to help students achieve their educational goals.
The HACE Mujeres de HACE program is a women’s leadership program. It is geared to empower high-potential Latina professionals to succeed professionally and thrive personally while providing insight, access, and professional development.
The Hombres de HACE program is a male leadership program that is designed to help participants reflect on their leadership traits and competencies by examining how they intersect with gender and cultural nuances, which impact Latinos in the workplace.
The HACE Colores program aims to provide a safe environment for Latinx LBGTQIA+ participants to enhance their leadership skills so they can lead authentically, confidently, and effectively. Participants will explore various challenges and opportunities that are specific to the intersectional LGBTQIA+ community.
The HACE Elevando Latino Leadership Program (formerly the Emerging Latino Leadership Program) is a dynamic and intensive action-learning Experience that will transform high-potential Latino professionals into high-performing leaders. This is done by helping participants develop the necessary skills to promote immediate and sustainable results for themselves and organizations they serve.
The HACE Multicultural Leadership Program is designed for professionals of color to build self-awareness of cultural values and the unique challenges faced in the workplace to master leading diverse teams through intercultural communication strategies and building a dedicated support network across communities.
HACE’s ALZA Advanced Leadership Program drives the transformation for executive leaders within the context of inclusive leadership best practices. This culturally-relevant and cohort-based learning experience provides leaders the skillsets, resources, and community to build organizational cultures that thrive on inclusivity to globally compete.
HACE’s Career Coaching Program serves working professionals who seek additional professional development through various executive and career coaching disciplines.
HACE's Career Coaching (Coaching Corner) sessions offer an opportunity for HACE members to receive personalized 1:1 career guidance (ex. Resume building, interview preparation, career transition, and salary negotiation etc.) from professional career coaches.
The HACE Professional Development Workshops focus on developing, upskilling and reskilling according to client needs and organizational alignment. These workshops occur throughout the calendar year with topics that range from Effective Communication to Inclusive Leadership.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
The Program Manager will grow and strengthen HACE’s national network through program management, partnership development, participant recruitment, and managing the day-to-day aspects of assigned programs. The Program Manager will report to HACE’s Director of Leadership Programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development and Management
Oversee and manage assigned programming including the work of program leads, facilitators, coaches, volunteers, and speakers.
Lead and track all program coordination (ex. venue and speaker identification, speaker prep, communication, and outreach to program participants), program events (kick-off, sessions, and graduation receptions) and program implementation (in-person, virtual, and hybrid).
Support program content development and agenda setting to ensure programming objectives are met, to create maximum impact and value for participants.
Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback from participants to identify successes and lessons learned.
Facilitate cohort-based learning experiences by being a Program Lead (as assigned by the Director of Leadership Programs).
Serve as Program alumni and alumni boards liaison to HACE and HACE partners.
Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead and collaborate with the marketing department in the recruitment of individual participants in each city, identifying opportunities, and effectively engaging alumni in the process.
Work with the marketing team in building press, blogger/influencer relationships and make HACE a leading brand and thought leader in leadership & diversity spaces.
Serve as a thought leader in the leadership and diversity spaces, supporting the partnership and marketing teams as needed.
Work with corporate partners to ensure engagement and smooth delivery of programs via conference calls, meetings, events, and ongoing communication.
Research and attend relevant events/conferences to strengthen the Program brand.
Collaborate with HACE staff, Board of Directors, and HACE Auxiliary Boards in planning fundraising events and informational seminars.
Deliver effective presentations for HACE’s networks (as assigned by the Director of Leadership Programs).
Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Leadership Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in education, organizational leadership, leadership, management studies or related field
3+ years of experience in program management, workshop facilitation, and workforce development
Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
Exceptional ability in developing and managing customer relationships and community programs, with strong project management and execution skills
Passionate about empowering Latino community, and creating more inclusive, diverse organizations.
Proven ability in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with minimal direction, entrepreneurial, proactive spirit
Demonstrated ability to seek perspectives from, contribute to, and work collaboratively with colleagues from other areas of responsibility such as business development, programs, marketing, and organizational strategy.
Demonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership, with effective communication and presentation skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Exceptional customer relationship skills, with strong program management and execution skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Monday.com, Mighty Network, Zoom, HubSpot and specific social media platforms.
Familiarity with design tools such as Canva
Position is remote but may require domestic travel, 15-25%, flexibility to attend early morning, evening and weekend events.
