Large construction company in Fort Lauderdale seeks Project Accountant to join their team!
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and process employee reimbursements as well as company credit card statements.
- Act as the primary contact between the Operations and Human Resources departments.
- Assist Project Administrators with various aspects of the hiring process.
- Ensure daily invoice processing.
- Administer payroll for both hourly and salaried employees on alternating pay schedules.
- Oversee and ensure insurance policy compliance.
- Closely monitor and oversee project finances.
- Handle processing for change orders, contracts, lien releases, and payments to subcontractors.
- Travel to project sites occasionally, as required.
- Undertake additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of relevant office experience in the General Contracting or Construction Management fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on providing support to project field teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and either Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat is a must.
- Experience with construction financial management software, like CMIC, is advantageous.
- Preferably experienced with Timeclock Plus, Ebix, Corpay, Kofax, or Imagetrust.
- Familiarity with AIA documentation is preferred.
- A solid understanding of budgeting, cost coding, and construction financial management is required.
