General Summary

Our client, a leading firm in the architecture and design industry, is seeking a meticulous and organized Project Accountant to join their Accounting team. The Project Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and provide essential support to the accounting group, handling a variety of tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial management.

Essential Duties

• Review and process consultant invoices.
• Resolve outstanding issues with vendors/consultants.
• Process payments for consultants and vendors.
• Review and process billing invoices , addressing any discrepancies.
• Generate field reports.
• Complete project setup and review project budgets for accurate revenue generation.
• Assist the Project Manager and team members as needed.
• Handle special tasks requested by the department and field.
• Process contracts for consultants and clients.
• Prepare deposits and process cash receipts.
• Provide support for all accounting managers as needed.
• Close projects/tasks after completion for revenue earnings.
• Maintain accounts receivable to prevent aging.

Required Skills and Abilities

• MUST have strong project-based accounting experience managing a high number of projects from an accounting perspective.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in understanding and communicating complex technical concepts.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred experience with Deltek Vision software.
