    Position Overview for the Project Architect:
    JARBO is working with a growing Architecture firm who's looking to hire an experienced and licensed Project Architect with a focus on K-12 educational facility projects to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, innovative designs for K-12 schools and ensuring our projects exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in architecture, with specific expertise in K-12 project work, and be licensed in both Missouri and Kansas.

    Key Responsibilities for the Project Architect:

    • Lead the design process for K-12 educational projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards, as well as client specifications.
    • Act as the primary contact for clients, school administrators, and other stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and building long-term relationships.
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including engineers, consultants, and construction professionals, to ensure seamless project integration and address design and technical challenges effectively.
    • Develop and oversee construction documentation to ensure project accuracy and adherence to budget, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure all project elements meet applicable codes and standards for K-12 facilities in Kansas and Missouri, with a focus on safety, accessibility, and durability.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

    Qualifications for the Project Architect:

    • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in architecture, specifically with K-12 educational projects.
    • Licensed Architect in both Kansas and Missouri (required).
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
    • Strong proficiency in architectural design software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
    • In-depth understanding of K-12 facility design standards, including safety, accessibility, and environmental considerations.
    • Exceptional project management support and organizational skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in presenting to clients and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
