Our client has asked for our assistance in filling their key architect role. They are looking for an Architect/Drafter to perform all phases of architectural work including designing, planning, as well as overseeing the construction process. You will be involved in new building designs, alterations, remodels, reuses, restorations and conservations from the earliest stages through completion. The architect’s goal is to align the client’s needs and to produce sustainable, practical and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities for the Architect:

·Oversee the project from start to finish to ensuring high quality, inventive and functional design

·Identify clients’ needs and assemble feasibility reports and design proposals

·Create ideas keeping in mind the client’s needs, the buildings’ usage and the environmental impact

·Produce detailed blueprints and make necessary corrections

·Amass project specifications·

·Ensure that all projects are carried out to specific standards, building codes, and regulations

·Collaborate and coordinate with construction professionals

·Follow architectural trends and advancements

Requirements for the Architect:

·BS degree in Architecture

·Strong existing portfolio

·5 + years of experience with AutoCAD

·Professional knowledge of building materials, construction details as well as regulations and building quality standards

·Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Excel, SketchUp and ComCheck software.

·Communication and project management skills

· Knowledge of hospitality or multi-family  building types.

·Wood frame architectural background
