    Job Description

    AECOM is currently seeking a Project Controls Analyst III to join our Program Management team in our Arlington, VA office. This role involves risk and schedule analysis and reviews, providing input and reports for numerous clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be technically competent in Primavera P6, extensive knowledge in risk analysis and mitigation, and have the ability to manage and convey complex information effectively. This is a Hybrid position.

    This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Review project designs, schedules, and cost breakdowns to create technical risk analysis reviews .
    • Identify key risks and collaborate with the team to assess coverage and mitigation efforts.
    • Coordinate with the project team on escalating and evaluating risks.
    • Review Contractor risk registers and provide analysis and input.
    • Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.
    • Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology. Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
    • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.
    • Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development.
    • Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods
    • Provide schedule analysis, identify and investigate project schedule variances and provide regular client advisement.
    • Identification and monitoring of key performance metrics to assist in assessing and reporting the health of the project.
    • Regularly review critical paths, perform what-if analysis, and identify schedule risks.
    • Prepare timelines, stakeholder schedules, and respond to ad-hoc requests.
    • Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Engineering or Construction Management + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Experience with Primavera P6 Software

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • PMP Certification
    • PSP Certification
    • Federal Project experience
    • Experience in developing construction cost estimates
    • Prior field experience on construction projects
