    Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to lead project reporting and controls activities for a large-scale, multi-million dollar construction project, with a focus on airport projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing planning, scheduling, cost engineering, estimating, analysis, and change management. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in managing the design and construction of complex projects, with a strong emphasis on aviation-related disciplines.

    Essential Job Duties:

    Project Milestones and Scheduling: Reviews project activities to ensure alignment with project milestones. Develops micro-phasing schedules to facilitate coordination of challenging work phases and ensures timely completion.

    Risk Identification and Mitigation: Participates in discussions with designers, contractors, and third-party entities to proactively identify project risks and recommends strategies for mitigation.

    Contractor Pay Application Review: Reviews contractor pay applications to ensure consistency with the schedule and progress reports.

    Cost Control and Reporting: Coordinates cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

    Schedule Development & Maintenance: Leads the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules, including resource loading and leveling. Ensures accurate and timely reporting of schedule and cost variances.

    Creative Reporting: Develops and implements creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and progress assessments.

    Collaboration: Collaborates with the controls team to maintain a customer-service-focused attitude while achieving accurate results at a fast pace.

    Discipline Coordination: Ensures the understanding of time frames necessary for disciplines like BHS, special systems, power, HVAC, and other aviation-related systems.

    Reporting and Briefing: Prepares progress reporting documents and briefing materials for stakeholders.

    Minimum Education:

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field.

    Master's Degree preferred.

    Minimum Experience:

    15+ years of project controls experience, preferably on large-scale airport projects.

    Proven experience managing complex design and construction efforts, including progress reporting and cost/schedule control.

    Previous experience on a large-scale aviation-related project required.

    Professional Licenses & Certifications (Optional):

    AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, PMI-SP, or other relevant certifications.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    Strong understanding of project controls processes, including cost estimation, cost analysis, change management, scheduling, and reporting.

    Ability to work on large-scale construction projects with diverse technical disciplines, especially in an airport or aviation setting.

    Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented focus.

    Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface with individuals at various technical levels.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

    Ability to inspire and lead the controls team to produce consistently accurate results under tight deadlines.

    Professional Experience Level:

    15+ years of project controls experience, with a focus on public-sector or airport projects.

    Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods preferred.

    Ability to understand and manage complex construction programs and communicate progress to both technical and management-level audiences.

    Hardware/Software Knowledge:

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

    Familiarity with industry-specific software, including Expedition, Adobe Acrobat, Primavera Project Planner (version 6.0 or higher), and Prolog.

    Work Schedule:

    Hybrid/telework schedule: Telework on Monday and Friday, onsite work Tuesday through Thursday.

    Flexible hours may be required, including occasional after-hours or shift work as needed.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to adapt to changing needs and take on additional responsibilities as necessary.

    May require working past regular work hours or on various shifts depending on project needs.
