    We are seeking a Project Coordinator to manage the process of obtaining work approval from the facility management team at one critical facility site so that multiple construction contractors can perform work efforts for various concurrent construction projects. This individual will interface directly with the client and the construction contractors as a representative of Design Associates with limited oversight from internal project manager(s). As a result, this individual must be well-organized and a self-starter.

    Job Responsibilities

    Ensure the contractor’s proposed work efforts are defined a minimum of one month in advance, are documented in a format as required by the facility management team, and are submitted to the facility team for review/approval in a timely manner.

    Track the progress of reviews by the facility management team to ensure that submitted proposed work efforts are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.

    Follow up regularly with all parties via phone and email.

    Ensure that questions/comments/required changes from the facility team are addressed by contractors in a timely manner.

    Notify internal project manager(s) and client’s project manager(s) of any issues with the potential to impact the construction schedules as they occur.

    Prepare and present regular updates to internal project manager(s) and client’s project manager(s) regarding the status and progress of work and approvals.

    Maintain schedules and records of the work efforts required for multiple construction projects and track the status of approval of each work effort.

    Visit the project site, located in Winston Salem, NC, on average at least once a week.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum 10 years of experience managing multiple architectural, engineering, or construction projects simultaneously.

    Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related field.

    Possess a current valid state-issued driver’s license for the State of North Carolina and meet the Company’s auto insurability requirements

    Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

    Possess excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and judgment skills

    Self-starter

    Have a working understanding of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

    Have a working understanding of construction processes
