Summary This is important supervisory work involving responsibility for managing the flow of students in the IYIP, SNAP, Milestone (education, job placement, life skills preparation). Duties include making sure that students are receiving the proper services, referrals, assigning and supervisory daily work relative to lectures, classroom and laboratory assignments. Responsibilities also include inventory control, cost estimates and budget requests, purchasing of supplies and related reports and documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities Within the scope of program policies and procedures are as follows:
Apply Performance Standards written by DHS SNAP, IYIP and Mile Stone Grant
Work closely with all aspects of the programs), enrollment, recruiting, case management, employers, community organiations, and social service agencies.
Work closely with the Case Manager, making sure that the students are receiving proper services and referrals.
Make sure that all students are enrolled into Illinois WorkNet

Supportive Services
Individualizzed Case Plans to include college and career plan goals
Re-engagement in education for Out-of-School youth
Assist in the preparation of course proposals, curriculum and specifications
Apply and maintain standards of quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures and implement changes as necessary to maintain a successful rogram
Implement and evaluate standardized instructional practices
Assist in recruiting students and supporters to the program, including participation in job fairs, recruiting events, and other special events related to the automotive program
Performs othe related duties as assigned

Education and/or experience
Bachelor's degree, or possession of a comparable diploma and seven (7) years' experience with management, two (2) years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a current, valid Illinois Driver's License throughout employment
Computer knowledge (demonstrated word processing skills and ability to use the internet
Strong verbal and written communication skills: flexibility and ability to comfortably adapt content and/or stule to meet the needs of particpations
Demonstrated customer service skills and consideration of others
Demonstratred ability to learn and faciltate curricula quickly and with accuracy
Ability to tak into account and analyze various points of view and pieces of data to form a perspectve appropriate to a particular context
Ability to identify problems early-on and provide support as needed.
