Project Engineer-Bridge Structures (2-5 years experience)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Supports the design and development of engineering projects, systems, and components by collaborating with team members on clear, defined objectives. Projects typically involve standard plans, surveys, structures, or equipment.
Assists in preparing complete project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, while organizing and analyzing relevant project data.
Applies standard engineering techniques and problem-solving methods with guidance as needed, particularly on complex or unfamiliar tasks.
Manages multiple moderate-sized projects or portions of larger projects, using time efficiently to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
Helps develop project scopes, tasks, budgets, schedules, and proposals, including bid documents and technical reports.
Attends meetings, collaborates with clients and contractors, and may present on specific technical aspects of assignments.
Occasional nights or weekends may be required on short notice.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering or related field
2–5 years of bridge engineering experience
Knowledge of FDOT and AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications
Proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D; OpenBridge Designer or InfraWorks a plus
Familiarity with MathCAD preferred
Strong skills in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word

LICENSURE
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
