POSITION OVERVIEW

• Supports the design and development of engineering projects, systems, and components by collaborating with team members on clear, defined objectives. Projects typically involve standard plans, surveys, structures, or equipment.

• Assists in preparing complete project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, while organizing and analyzing relevant project data.

• Applies standard engineering techniques and problem-solving methods with guidance as needed, particularly on complex or unfamiliar tasks.

• Manages multiple moderate-sized projects or portions of larger projects, using time efficiently to meet deadlines and stay within budget.

• Helps develop project scopes, tasks, budgets, schedules, and proposals, including bid documents and technical reports.

• Attends meetings, collaborates with clients and contractors, and may present on specific technical aspects of assignments.

• Occasional nights or weekends may be required on short notice.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering or related field

• 2–5 years of bridge engineering experience

• Knowledge of FDOT and AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D; OpenBridge Designer or InfraWorks a plus

• Familiarity with MathCAD preferred

• Strong skills in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word

LICENSURE

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
