Description:
Join Cooper Tacia General Contracting, a trailblazer in the commercial construction industry in Raleigh, NC. We're on the hunt for dynamic Project Engineer to enrich our project execution team. As part of our vibrant team, you'll work under the guidance of our Senior Project Manager and other Project Managers, closely collaborating with Site Superintendents and Project Accountants to drive projects to their successful completion—on time and within budget.
As a Project Engineer at Cooper Tacia your duties will include:
Responsibilities
· Assist Project Managers in daily operations, ensuring effective implementation of project plans.
· Conduct weekly site visits to monitor construction progress and enforce quality standards.
· Engage in negotiations for subcontractor and vendor pricing to optimize project costs.
· Manage project schedules, documentation, and ensure all compliance with industry standards.
· Handle RFI submissions and track submittals, maintaining clear and effective communication across project teams.
Requirements
· BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related
· Knowledge of AutoCAD and construction software such as Procore and Primavera is highly recommended.
· Industry experience is a plus.
· Excellent Computer Skills.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks is required.
· Excellent organizational skills.
Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
