    The Project Engineer is a key role, responsible for managing the technical and financial aspects of assigned projects. The Project Engineer coordinates testing, sample/data collection, subcontractor tasks, evaluates data and compiles written reports for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies. The person needs to be reliable (responsibilities, tardiness, etc.) and have a good work].     Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear. Body motions and movements include: bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, pulling, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and pushing.

    • Lifting and/or moving up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.

    • This job is in Florida, with exposure to intense sun, intense heat, humidity, rain, thunderstorms, and other adverse weather conditions.

    • Job site conditions may or may not be accessible by vehicle and can include wetlands, swamps, grasslands, and fields with uneven surfaces, sand, brush, and other natural and man-made obstacles.

    • This job is primarily and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and construction sites where the noise level is usually moderate to loud.

     

    Job Responsibilities:

      • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project
      • Calculates cost and determines the feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data
      • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules, and designs for the project
      • Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering test plans, specifications, and safety standards
      • Directs where necessary activities at the project site
      • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
      • Other duties as assigned

       

    Required Qualifications:

      • P.E. Licensed
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
      • Master's degree (M.S.) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred
      • 1-4 years of experience required
      • Engineering Intern (E.I.) Certification and able to obtain P.E. license within 6 month

    $90,000 per year
