    Job Overview:
    As a Project Engineer, you will support construction projects through coordination and execution, working closely with professional and field staff. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship, allowing you to grow into a Project Manager role. Your contributions will support estimating, project management, and field operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Estimating Team Support:

    • Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate equipment and subcontractor quotes.
    • Review pricing, quantities, and totals for accuracy.
    • Identify cost-effective construction methods and integrate them into future estimates.
    • Secure favorable material and cost quotations.
    • Become proficient in company estimating software, checking calculations, and compiling data for proposals.
    • Use proprietary labor and material databases when preparing estimates.

    Project Management Team Support:

    • Facilitate project startup activities, including Autodesk Build site setup and organization of project drawings and documentation.
    • Assist with the project set-up by allocating estimates into the appropriate Cost Types and Phases.
    • Support buyout activities, including recounting buyout items and sending packages to vendors.
    • Write purchase orders and request shop drawings.
    • Participate in project meetings, track project changes, and assist with change orders.
    • Visit job sites and attend meetings as needed.
    • Support monthly job cost projections and manage vendor deliveries.
    • Assist with timely RFIs and work with Project Coordinators for various administrative tasks such as purchase tracking and permit pulling.
    • Aid in construction scheduling using Microsoft Project.
    • Implement and track Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures, documents, and issues.
    • Prepare project reports for management and clients.
    • Expedite job closeout activities, including shop drawing submittals, manuals, warranty letters, and owner training.

    Project Engagement:

    • Walk job sites, understand project processes, and assess time requirements for task completion.
    • Perform other duties as requested by the Foreman or Project Management team.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
