    Job Description

    About Us
Whiteley Infrastructure Group is a fast-growing engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm that partners with industrial clients to deliver critical energy, utility, and infrastructure projects across North America. Known for our agile approach, technical depth, and client-first mindset, we provide tailored project solutions that balance cost, schedule, and operational performance.

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Process/Mechanical) with 3–5 years of experience to join our dynamic team and support projects in the energy, midstream, and industrial infrastructure sectors.

    Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will serve a key role in delivering technical project execution, supporting design development, and managing engineering deliverables for process and mechanical systems. You’ll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes—from front-end engineering to detailed design and construction support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and review process and mechanical engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, and datasheets.
    • Support project execution from concept through commissioning for EPCM projects.
    • Perform technical calculations, size and select equipment, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
    • Interface with internal project managers, discipline leads, and client engineering teams.
    • Support the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
    • Participate in site visits, field verifications, and client meetings as required.
    • Assist in vendor evaluation and technical bid analysis for equipment procurement.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
    • 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience in energy, oil & gas, utilities, or industrial projects.
    • Solid understanding of process systems, rotating equipment, piping, and pressure vessels.
    • Familiarity with codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, NFPA, etc.).
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; exposure to process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen, HYSYS) a plus.
    • EIT certification preferred; PE license or path to licensure encouraged.
