    We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Project Estimator in Markle, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately calculating the required amounts of materials needed for a variety of construction projects, including trusses, wall panels, lumber, beams, and sheathing. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the initial planning phases by delivering precise material estimates to minimize waste and improve cost efficiency. Responsibilities: • Interpret project blueprints, design drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work and identify material requirements accurately. • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and calculations to estimate the needed materials for trusses, wall panels, loose lumber, structural beams, and sheathing products precisely. • Clarify any ambiguities by coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates. • Utilize software and technology effectively for accurate and efficient estimation processes. • Obtain material cost quotes from suppliers and evaluate them in collaboration with the procurement team. • Maintain a database of historical data on material usage for informing future estimates. • Prepare and submit detailed reports and documentation outlining estimated material quantities and costs clearly. • Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and advancements in building materials and construction methodologies. • Align material estimates with project timelines and budget constraints in close collaboration with the project management team. • Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering efforts without compromising quality or project objectives. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Project Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and the project lifecycle. • Proficiency in estimation software and tools. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
