NOTE: Must be an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree by June 2025.
NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
The Office of Employee Services (OES) is responsible for the agency’s human capital administration and workforce management, which includes recruitment, personnel, civil service administration, labor relations, timekeeping, payroll, leaves of absence, benefits and performance management administration, and programs for employee learning, engagement, recognition, professional development, and agency-wide events.
The Learning, Employee Engagement & Special Programs Unit is offering an exciting opportunity for a well-organized and resourceful individual to join as a Summer College Intern. The selected candidate will support project management, unit initiatives, training programs, and SharePoint page improvement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with Summer Intern Program
- Assist with DOF Training Program Administration
- Assist with 202 Customer Service Week
- Analyze data from surveys, assessments, and other sources to determine themes and form hypotheses for further analysis.
- Create Excel reports and PowerPoint presentations to present analysis from research or collected data.
- Review and organize unit templates for consistency, and make recommendations for improved systems or methodology.
- Support the team in preparing materials and related documents for scheduled events or programs.
- Utilize Excel to run queries and reports as requested. Update database and spreadsheets data and report attendance and analysis of feedback from trainings and programs.
- Perform related work and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
As of June of the Program year the prospective interne must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.
