    Job Description

    Summary

    Candidates in this position have responsibility for project management for 3 sites in the Bay Area. Project managers are responsible for managing and reporting on the progress of projects from signed quotes, through receipt of samples and completion of testing to reporting out to the client and then following up with the client to ensure the report is as expected and if Eurofins can assist with any other testing services. Project managers are also expected to draft reports for scientific projects.

    Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

    • Involvement in quoting where assistance can be provided to simplify the process and ensure consistency between sites.
    • Notification to site leadership and receiving that projects have been booked and track the progress of shipments to a site.
    • Tracks sample delivery, assists in getting samples in sooner where possible, and deals with issues that arise for sample shipment, etc.
    • In conjunction with the Site Manager, tracks on-time delivery (OTD) based on the date of sample delivery and manages project progress to help ensure report delivery will exceed the client's expected/contracted delivery date.
    • Helps track revenue, including forecasting, by knowing what will be and can be delivered in a month.
    • Drafts project completion reports in collaboration of SME and delivers report to the client, answers any questions the client may have, and liaises with the technical team.
    • Follow up with the client to see if there are other studies we can carry out, including follow-ups to completed work.
    • Is one of the primary liaisons between the client and Eurofins and, as such, acts as a customer service representative.
    • Work with site QA to ensure all quality events and OOS reports are provided to the client and any feedback is received in a timely manner.
    • Ensure individualized customer service, communication, and issue escalation/resolution are maintained at each location; directly interact with customers in resolving issues as necessary.
    • Collaborate and interact with other departments such as R&D, human resources, accounting, and IT to establish and refine efficient and effective processes while ensuring the company's operational priorities are aligned with the company strategy.
    • Look for opportunities to deploy and work within Project Management software as appropriate.
    • Ensure appropriate data, analysis, and guidance are provided in the preparation of bids for potential customer contracts as well as strategic plan development (e.g., capital outlays, labor, and cost analyses based on expected market/customer requirements)
    • Develop necessary standard operating procedures and training documentation.
    • Attend industry conferences and selected vendor events to assist Sales with the growth of Infinity services.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in science or technology field.
      • PMP Certification preferred but not required.

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory Project Management role. However, enthusiastic candidates without experience are also encouraged to apply.
    • Project management experience in a multi-site environment is preferred.
    • Direct experience defining and continuously improving Project Management processes.
    • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent training in process improvement preferred.
    • Background working in an OSHA and cGMP environment required.
    • Experience with deployment and use of Project Management software preferred.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers and develop communications and reports to executive management

    Additional Information

    Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of the Bay Area, CA are encouraged to apply.

    Compensation starting at $30/hr.
