    Project Manager (CAPEX) - Chemical Manufacturing - Base Salary to 180k/year - Boston, MA

    • Our client is a global leader in chemical manufacturing, with over $10 billion in U.S. revenue and 800+ sites worldwide. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to manager CAPEX capital projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage 4-5 simultaneous CAPEX capital projects, ranging from $200k to $3M, focusing on chemical processing systems, including pumps, tanks, valves, and safety relief systems.
    • Lead project efforts to modernize the facility, including replacing existing foam suppression systems, upgrading safety standards, and ensuring state-of-the-art controls.
    • Oversee the design and installation of equipment for adhesive and sealant production.
    • Collaborate with the maintenance team and plant operations to troubleshoot and enhance production systems, supporting improvements in safety and process efficiency.
    • Provide technical support for plant operations, working closely with a team that includes a process engineer, plant manager, and a maintenance team of four technicians.
    • Manage all aspects of project execution, including budget control, vendor selection, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
    • Support facility upgrades aimed at addressing long-standing maintenance issues in a recently acquired site, improving reliability and operational efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (preferred), or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of experience managing CAPEX capital projects in chemical or industrial manufacturing environments.
    • Expertise in managing complex mechanical systems, including pumps, tanks, valves, piping, and chemical safety systems.
    • Experience with process engineering in chemical plants, with a strong understanding of plant operations and safety protocols.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely project completion within budget.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 160k - 180k/year range
