The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for all internal and external job management, bid preparations, all customer interactions, implementation of the overall project plan for construction activities, delivering the projects within or under budget. This individual will work closely with our clients and the internal team providing status updates on timelines, project costs, and will be responsible for all documentation for contract change orders. This role will be working on multiple projects for multiple clients at one time. This is a multi-faceted position including, but not limited to, the following markets: industrial, commercial, DOT, data, etc Responsibilities: • Customer interaction, Bid Preparation, and Contract Procurement • Communicate all project safety rules/guidelines to all relevant parties • Coordinate project start dates, end dates, and major milestones with the customer and project management team • Clearly define the schedule of values all project scope details with the customer including job location maps, spread rates, and mix design formulas • Manage site challenges and collaborate with the project foreman and customer project manager as they arise • Must act as a liaison between contract management and the customer for contractual issues • Coordinate and schedule equipment and employees with the superintendent • Create daily project dispatch and make sure it is properly communicated to the entire project management team site work team • Perform site visits as necessary to manage progress, lay out new work, and make sure that the project team is properly informed and supported for success • Assess quality assurance and material effectiveness; make modifications, as necessary, for project success • Responsible for customer satisfaction and quality control for overall project success • Provide continued support and updates for the project team and customer to confirm that the project is meeting or exceeding all goals • Ensure all change order management procedures are followed and documented • Manage project team progress and measure against the estimate related to productions, spread rates, and material use • Estimate new projects with bids, negotiations, and post-bid/project review, and make recommendations on future bids per project customer experience • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status • Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones • Communicate timely and effectively with vendors and suppliers • Hours may fluctuate due to project and workload variability and seasonality • Answering phone calls and emails will be necessary after hours and on weekends due to the needs of the project team and/or customer • Perform other related duties as required and assigned Qualifications: • 2 years of field experience is preferred, but not required • Project Management Planning (PMP) certification a plus • Bid2Win experience preferred • Experience working with and effectively leading cross-functional teams is essential • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal • Proven ability to deliver high-quality projects on tight schedules • Strong and effective decision-making skills a must • Must be willing to travel and visit job sites (local and national) • Ability to build and follow a schedule • Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules • BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Microsoft Windows Compensation: $70,000+ yearly
