    Project Manager – Fat Fender Garage

    Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join the Fat Fender team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a passion for the automotive world, and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will work with Production Leaders to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of client builds ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Planning & Initiation:

    Work with the Build Team to develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and scope of work.

    Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and specifications for their build.

    Conduct feasibility assessments for new projects, identifying potential challenges and solutions.

    Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    Establish quality control standards and ensure they are adhered to throughout the build process.

    Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure projects meet regulatory and safety standards.

    Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.

    Budget Management:

    Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met.

    Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects with collaboration from the Build Team.

    Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or client satisfaction.

    Timeline Management:

    Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule.

    Adjust schedules as needed based on project progress, delays, or changes in scope.

    Communicate updates and changes to clients and stakeholders transparently.

    Client Communication & Relationship Management:

    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

    Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

    Documentation & Reporting:

    Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, build sheets, change orders, and reports.

    Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

    Document lessons learned, bills of material, and best practices for future projects.

    Problem Solving & Decision Making:

    Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.

    Resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during the project execution.

    Make informed decisions quickly to keep projects on track.

    Continuous Improvement:

    Seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the shop.

    Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in project management and automotive design.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience in project management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.

    Strong understanding of custom automotive builds, design processes, and manufacturing techniques.

    Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

    PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

    Working Conditions:

    This role may require occasional travel to trade shows.

    Must be comfortable working in a hands-on environment, frequently visiting the shop floor.
