    Project Manager (Commercial Construction) – What You Will Do

    You are responsible for ensuring the successful execution of commercial electrical projects including effectively project planning, monitoring ongoing budget to actual project performance and project close out, with the support of a Project Engineer team.

    You will oversee up to 5-6 commercial electrical projects at a time, with an average project size of up to $5M per project.

    Pre-Project

    • Design electrical systems that meet customer expectations including providing conceptual direction to guide completion of load analysis, approving equipment selection, confirming drawings and layouts, ensuring circuiting requirements and applying electrical theory to solve issues
    • Oversee the proposal execution process for customer submission ensuring required components are to company standards (scope summary, inclusions, exclusions & assumptions, bid letter, specifications and pricing
    • Proactively solve problems by making sure RFIs, bill or materials are completed, documented, communicated and scope summary is captured

    Active Projects

    • Ensure that projects are safe, on time and profitable from kickoff meeting and up-front strategy to job walks/site visits, project meetings and safety audit reviews
    • Monitor ongoing project budget, budget to actuals and job profitability
    • Review Work in progress reports (WIP’s) ensure accurately forecasting job cost and financial outcomes
    • Attend close out meeting and review Post Job Review Agenda / close out checklist
    • Ensure ongoing estimates are completed throughout the project including change orders

    Leadership

    • Develop, maintain and build strategic customer relationships in support of future sales and projects, including attending marketing, recruitment events and other community events
    • Contribute to the development of talent including growing team members, mentorship and training and participation in company recruitment / interviews

    You will work in the office and out in the field (estimated 20% of your time will be performed in the field or on job sites and 80% in the office with your team). No overnight travel.

    Project Manager (Commercial Construction) – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit

    • Prior experience working in Project Management with a commercial electrical contractor
    • An understanding of the construction life cycle from estimation/bid through project completion
    • You enjoy working as part of a team and mentoring Project Engineers
    • You are experienced working with project management softwares and in MS Excel including spreadsheets, calculations and formulas

    Project Manager (Commercial Construction) – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)

    • Prior experience working on hospital, healthcare or life sciences construction projects
    • Experience with Bluebeam and Accubid softwares
    • A background in Engineering

    Project Manager (Commercial Construction) – For You

    Compensation $120,000 to $150,000 base salary plus additional bonus potential.

    You will be provided a monthly auto stipend and a fuel card.

    This role requires successful completion of a drug test, background check and clean driving record prior to start date.
