Position Overview:
T12 Technologies, LLC is seeking a Functional Project Manager to join our team on a PRN (as-needed-to-full-time basis) responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to the project's functional deliverables. This role involves coordinating discussions, identifying risks, ensuring timely project execution, and maintaining compliance with requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while driving project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Facilitation & Coordination: Organize and lead discussions and meetings between State agencies and contractors. Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify project-related risks and issues promptly. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
Project Planning & Execution: Identify critical paths, tasks, key milestones, and acceptance criteria. Oversee the testing phases to ensure quality control and compliance with requirements. Ensure project deliverables are completed within scope, budget, and timeframe.
Performance & Compliance: Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to established objectives. Provide performance reports and recommendations for process improvement. Implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain performance levels.
Issue Resolution & Status Reporting: Track and monitor project issues, providing timely resolutions. Prepare and present up-to-date status reports to stakeholders.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Engage with stakeholders to manage expectations and drive collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least five (5) years of experience managing IT-related projects.
Proven track record of leading at least three (3) successful projects that were delivered on time and within budget.
Experience managing projects comparable in scale to a State of Maryland enterprise-wide implementation.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing organizational change management projects.
Extensive experience using PMI’s PMBoK methodologies and associated artifacts.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to drive process improvements and optimize project performance.
