Project Manager (Technical Integrator/Environments)

Location: Lanham, Maryland Job Description: The Project Manager (Technical Integrator/Environments) ensures production environment readiness and technical integration for Web Apps deployments. This role focuses on coordinating environment support, validating configurations, and facilitating the Deployment System Readiness Test (DSRT) process to maintain system health and taxpayer-facing functionality.

Responsibilities:

Lead production readiness testing for 9-week PI deployments and off-cycle drops.

Design and automate DSRT tests to validate hardware, software, and connectivity (e.g., taxpayer-facing apps, backend services).

Maintain environment configurations (e.g., OpenShift, ISTIO) and update playbooks for deployment execution.

Coordinate with Enterprise Operations and delivery partners for infrastructure updates and defect fixes.

Monitor post-deployment smoke tests and resolve failed scenarios, providing daily status reports.

Support 24/7/365 incident management and weekend patching/validation activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Systems Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of project management experience in IT environment support or integration.

Expertise in RedHat Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, and production monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics).

Familiarity with IRS Web Apps DSRT processes or similar federal testing frameworks.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work on-site with after-hours/weekend availability.
