The Project Test Engineer is responsible for managing test readiness to assure successful execution of testing in Space Systems.
The Project Test Engineer will interface daily with Program, Operations , Quality and Purchasing personnel to ensure that customer committed test schedules are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
The main role of the Project Test Engineer is to manage the preparation of testing to maintain program schedules.
Identify upcoming testing from program schedules
Determine resources (rigs, tooling, instrumentation) needed to perform testing
Work with lab management to determine the availability of the resources needed to perform testing and work with management to resolve any bottlenecks.
Coordinate the gathering of test resources
Coordinate the repair of test tooling and the calibration of instrumentation needed to support testing
Work with the purchasing group to coordinate testing at outside test locations Applicant must have the capability of working independently and be self-motivated.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal are required.
Ability to proficiently operate common Microsoft Office software products are required.
