Blue Ocean is growing! We are looking for a project and customer service coordinator who is detail oriented, can juggle multiple balls at one time, thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys working with people, and is passionate about customer service.
Job Summary
Plans, develops, and establishes systems and procedures for office/showroom related activities in accordance with directives established by the President or General Manager, by performing duties personally or through subordinates.
Responsibilities
Assume end-to-end project coordination, from customer inquiries, site inspections, estimating, selling, and coordinating permitting and installations of projects both big and small.
Lead projects with passion, as if it was your own business. Taking ownership in this role is key.
Develop and maintain project schedules, and providing full transparency, anticipating and escalating issues/concerns.
Coordinate needed materials for each project, including but not limited to placing material orders and requesting quotes from suppliers and fabricators.
Estimate creation and order input. Learn and utilize our point-of-sale system for inputting estimates and orders.
Responsible for maintaining our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to manage inquiries and projects on a daily basis.
Identify and resolve issues and solve problems that arise throughout the duration of the project to mitigate risk.
Research city/county requirements and obtain required permits when needed.
Client follow-up, ensuring you are communicating with both potential clients and existing clients on both estimates and existing orders.
Establish and maintain effective customer relations to achieve active cooperation and additional work opportunities.
Identifying and developing solutions for process improvement.
Assess the work of contactors/suppliers to ensure project expectations and customer expectations are fulfilled.
Fully accountable for the result of the project, is the glue that holds the project together.
Graphic design and/or prior commercial sign experience is a plus but not required.
Answers the phones and services customers accordingly or directs the call to the appropriate party. During the busy season, this is a primary activity.
Works closely with our owner for training and coordination purposes.

Possess High School Diploma or equivalent
Possess valid Drivers License
Minimum of two years experience in an office or customer service position
Excellent communication skills
Ability to exercise integrity at the moment of choice
Ability to think and reason strategically
Comprehensive computer skills including software (Windows, Office, database experience), programs, and applications
