Property Maintenance Technician, West Des Moines, IA

The Property Maintenance Technician will help our growing company achieve success by keeping the our properties, buildings, and grounds in best in class condition and by providing excellent customer service to our tenants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel. The Maintenance Technician must be mechanically inclined with a substantial background in building maintenance. Maintenance and repair abilities include:
Common area maintenance (change light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles and furnace filters, and basic day to day property maintenance upkeep)
Minor dry wall repair and taping
Painting
Security of leased spaces, including working with locksmiths and re-keying units, as needed.
Carpentry skills and ability to review and interpret construction/site plans is helpful.
Minor plumbing and electrical repairs that do not require a license.
HVAC diagnostics and repairs
Mechanical equipment repair and maintenance
Concrete, sidewalk, curb and parking lot maintenance
Will require lifting, pushing, pulling 75 lbs. or more on occasion
Bi-lingual is a PLUS!
Detailed lawn and landscaping care to include, but not limited to, mowing, snow removal, trimming, trash removal, landscaping repair and upkeep, and general debris removal
Experience:
2 years or more of job related experience is required. Candidates with 5+ years of experience will be given priority during the interview process.
Hours:
8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional on-call and weekend hours.
Clearances:
Background check, must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
