    I. POSITION

    Communications Coordinator

    II. PRIMARY FUNCTION The goals of this position are:

    • Works with Director of Membership and Director of Communications to identify membership lifestyle “touch points” and communicate via social media, press releases, etc.
    • Analyze and make recommendations to improve the member experience based on feedback from club surveys.
    • Works in conjunction with the Social Manager and Activities Manager to arrange that event photos are taken, edited, posted on socials and properly filed on network server.
    • Work with the Director of Communications to devise a comprehensive creative strategy that encompasses our brand across all channels.
    • Implement a variety of content and formats based on different situations and circumstances.
    • Support team members by gathering information and content, distributing printed materials and assist with administrative duties.
    • Follow communication calendar and implement with other departments to produce regular features/stories
    • Writes, composes, or edits all club magazine and newsletter articles; collects, organizes and submits all copy for production on a timely basis; proofs contents for corrections and changes; responsible for design and layout of page format and cover design.
    • Provides administrative support to the Membership Services office and drafts correspondence to members and non-members as needed to support the Communications Department.
    • Assists Director of Membership in recognizing member “life events;” orders flowers and prepares cards and memorial donations as appropriate and requested.
    • Completes other special projects and assignments as directed by the Membership Director.
    • Assist with organizing events & activities for existing prospective members.
    • Assist with handling questions, information requests, and complaints regarding membership.
    • Maintaining and updating membership records.
    • Assisting with member communication activities.

    III. PHHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    IV. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are may vary each week. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as specified by the supervisor and must work at least 37.5 hours each week. Core work schedule is defined as Tuesday- Saturday. This position may regularly require long hours.

    V. Required Education, Experience, Requirements

    1. Associate degree or bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.
    2. Microsoft Programs: Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Canva
    3. Flipping Book for publications
    4. Social Media; Facebook, Instagram, You Tube
    5. 2 or more years of experience in the Hospitality industry a plus.
    6. Tuesday- Saturday work schedule with flexibility depending on business needs
