    Position Overview:

    The Proposal Development Engineer (PDE) supports our sales team by authoring technical and commercial proposals in response to client inquiries. You will help grow our business by developing creative Engineered Solutions and owning the scope, schedule, and price we offer to our clients.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Author technical and commercial proposals for FOX Engineered Solutions – such as centrifugal compressor upgrades, revamps, and modernizations.
    • Collect and organize client information including field data, drawings, photographs, etc.
    • Develop preliminary design and predicted performance for centrifugal compressors using FOX proprietary software
    • Publish technical documentation such as data sheets, plots, and preliminary drawings
    • Interface with operations and supply chain to estimate project costs and schedule
    • Recommend a selling price for the proposed scope of supply
    • Participate in bid clarification and client kick-off meetings
    • Hand-off Engineered Solutions orders to the business after project is won

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • English Language fluency
    • Computer & MS Office proficiency
    • Knowledge of machinery design including manufacturing drawings
    • Knowledge of rotating equipment and turbomachinery preferred.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
    • Able to work flexible hours on occasion to support international client calls
    • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

    Experience and Education:

    Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related degree; required
